Let’s take a swipe at the Swingline Thermal Inspire Plus laminator. It’s a close relative of the Swingline GBC laminator which is another good and affordable laminator from Swingline.
The Swingline Inspire Plus laminator is perfectly sized. Actually, it comes in two different options, the 9” and 12” sizes. In addition to that, you can also opt for a starter kit from Swingline. This starter kit is an ensemble of the laminator as well as the laminating pouches and a trimmer.
For averagely quick laminating tasks, the unit will work fine since it has a heat up time of four minutes. It’s not the fastest, however, the job will get done smoothly.
A couple of users did complain of curled edges on their laminated documents. However, we didn’t notice any of those in the course of this review as the machine handled each job smoothly.
Swingline offers this Thermal Inspire Plus laminator in a variety of colors. This is especially important for teachers who’d like to match the color of the laminator to their classroom. Teachers aren’t the only ones involved – you can pick a color to suit the interior décor of your home or your office.
The unit lacks an exit tray although the tray itself isn’t necessary, to start with. It sports a light indicator and can be used for both hot and cold lamination tasks. The unit is definitely worth each penny you spend on it.
